The material is free of harmful substances and suitable for long-term use. It avoids the coldness and unforgiving feel of traditional metal bits, making it a considered choice for riders needing more defined communication.

The double-jointed mouthpiece distributes pressure evenly across the tongue and bars, preventing the nutcracker effect and offering a smooth, stable feel. Horses that benefit from balanced pressure and a bit that follows the shape of the mouth often respond particularly well to this design. It is also a great option for horses with a lower palate, as the double-jointed construction reduces upward movement toward the roof of the mouth, providing extra comfort.

The full cheek stabilises the bit laterally, helping guide the horse’s shoulders and improve turning, which is especially beneficial for younger or less balanced horses. The gag action, activated by cheekpieces running through the rings, creates a gentle lifting effect by applying light poll pressure. This can be particularly useful for horses that tend to lean on the forehand or in moments where extra lightness in the hand is required.

Ideal for

Horses that need support in elevation and straightness

Riders developing balance, turning, or responsiveness

Suitable for jumping, cross-training, or advanced flatwork

Technical details

Type: Gag bit with full cheek

Mouthpiece: Double jointed

Thickness options: 20 mm

Material: Firm synthetic coating with rigid core; stainless steel cheekpieces

Care & use

After each ride, rinse the bit with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.
