It brings together three complementary qualities — elevation, definition, and relief — to support balance, acceptance, and harmony between horse and rider. This is a thoughtful choice for the experienced rider working with a horse that tends to lean, evade, or resist a lighter contact. The loose ring gag is a refined tool that works in harmony with the horse's natural movement.

As the rider takes up the reins, the bit slides gently upward in the mouth, creating soft, progressive pressure at the corners of the lips and behind the poll. This subtle upward action invites the horse to seek a more correct head carriage and find its own sense of balance, rather than having it imposed. The freedom of the loose rings allows the mouthpiece to move naturally, making it easier for the horse to relax into the contact and discover a more supple, willing way of going.

The Flex Hard material brings definition and clarity to every aid without resorting to the cold, rigid feel of traditional metal. Constructed from a firm yet non-toxic synthetic, it offers a confident rein connection that speaks clearly to horses inclined to lean or seek out a heavier contact. Where softer materials may be absorbed or ignored, the Flex Hard commands quiet attention — helping the rider communicate with precision while keeping the horse's comfort and safety at the forefront. It is the middle ground between softness and steel: purposeful, safe, and kind.

The tongue port mouthpiece completes this combination with elegance and intention. By creating a gentle channel of relief along the centre of the tongue, it shifts pressure toward the bars, offering a more measured and stable contact for horses that are sensitive to tongue pressure or prone to pushing their tongue over or around the bit. The mouthpiece holds its shape under pressure, providing consistent feedback and discouraging leaning without force. For horses that become heavy or unresponsive in softer, flatter mouthpieces, this port offers both comfort and control in equal measure.

Ideal for:

Horses that tend to lean, become heavy, or seek a strong contact

Horses with tongue sensitivity or a habit of placing the tongue over the bit

Horses in need of encouragement toward better balance and head carriage

More experienced riders who can apply gag action with feel and timing

Riders looking for greater clarity of aid without moving to a metal bit

Intermediate to advanced disciplines where precision and lightness are prioritised

Care & Use

After each ride, rinse the bit with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.
