It supports precise aids and can help reduce leaning without resorting to a metal mouthpiece. While firmer than the Soft and Medium versions, the bit maintains a smooth, rounded surface to avoid unnecessary pressure points.

Constructed from a firm, non-toxic synthetic material, the surface remains smooth and safe while offering maximum clarity of aid. The material is free of harmful substances and suitable for long-term use. While firmer than the Soft and Medium options, it still avoids the coldness and unforgiving feel of traditional metal bits, making it a considered choice for riders needing more defined communication.

This bit features a firm straight bar with an integrated tongue port. The port creates additional space for the tongue, helping to relieve constant tongue pressure and encouraging relaxation in horses that can feel restricted in standard straight bars. By redistributing pressure more towards the bars while allowing controlled tongue freedom, the mouthpiece supports clearer signals without creating sharp or unstable contact. The firm core ensures the shape remains stable under pressure, offering consistent, well-defined aids throughout the ride.

With loose rings, the mouthpiece is allowed to move freely, promoting light chewing activity and helping the horse stay flexible and attentive in the hand. This increased mobility supports precise rein aids and keeps the connection soft and responsive.

Ideal for

Horses that lean or become heavy in the hand

Horses that prefer more tongue freedom

Experienced riders seeking precise rein response

Advanced schooling, jumping, or cross-training disciplines

Technical details

Type: Loose ring snaffle

Mouthpiece: Straight with tongue port, flexible outer layer

Thickness: 20 mm

Material: Firm synthetic coating with rigid core; stainless steel rings

Care & use

After each ride, rinse the bit with warm water and dry with a soft cloth.
