Kask Helmets

Current KASK Equestrian helmets are certified to:

• EN 1384:2023 (Europe, CE marked)
• ASTM F1163-23, certified by SEI (USA, Canada and Australia)

The certification details are printed on the label inside each helmet, along with the model, size, serial number, weight and date of manufacture.

KASK Rotational Impact WG11 Test. KASK also tests every helmet against rotational (oblique) impacts at 6 m/s using its own internal protocol. The pass mark is a Brain Injury Criteria (BrIC) value below 0.68, and KASK helmets never measure above 0.39. Lower is better. This is KASK’s own test and goes beyond what the standards require.

Every KASK helmet comes in three shell sizes. Within each shell, the fit is set by the inner liner (padding). Choose the shell that covers your head size, then choose your liner size. We fit that liner before dispatch.

How to measure: wrap a soft tape around your head about 1 cm above your eyebrows and ears, at the widest point. Need help with fit? Contact us or visit us in store.

Spare liners must match your helmet’s shell. For example, a Shell 2 helmet takes 57, 58 or 59 liners only. Liners are removable and washable, so a spare means you always have a fresh one ready. Not sure which shell you have? Contact us with the size printed on your helmet’s inner label.

Kooki & Kooki Lady. The everyday helmet for schooling and the show ring. It has a dual shell with Integrated Airflow Control, Quick Dry antibacterial padding and the Click-In liner system. Kooki Lady adds a wide peak for sun protection and Swarovski® elements.

Dogma & Star Lady. KASK’s icon, completely reworked and 100% made in Italy. Both have honeycomb Smart Ventilation, 100% Merino wool padding by REDA, KASK’s patented self-adjusting Fit System, a faux leather chinstrap and the Click-In system. Star Lady adds the wide peak and Swarovski® frame.

Many KASK helmets can be configured to order in Italy: shell colour, frame, crystal pattern and finish. Made-to-order helmets take approximately 6–8 weeks to reach you.

KASK ID Tag. Add up to 12 characters, such as initials, a name or a motto. The text is 3D digitally printed on the rear of the shell in your choice of two fonts. The ID Tag is available on all shells except Kooki / Kooki Lady Black Hunter.

• Outer shell: clean only with water, mild soap and a soft cloth, and let it dry naturally. Never use chemical cleaners or solvents. The KASK Cleaning Kit is available separately.
• Inner padding: remove and wash it by hand in cold water, or machine wash at 30°C maximum.
• Replace after a fall: KASK recommends replacing your helmet after any severe impact, even if you can’t see any damage.
• Replace with age: materials age over time, so replace your helmet 10 years after its production date (printed inside the helmet). Check it regularly for cracks, deformation, flaking or colour change.
• Warranty: KASK covers defects in materials and workmanship for 2 years from the date of purchase. Keep your proof of purchase.
