Soft'Up Classic+ – shock absorption, stability and comfort

The Soft'Up Classic+ is the latest evolution of Freejump's straight-eye stirrup. Styled by Italian design house Pininfarina and developed with women riders in mind, it combines Freejump's single-branch shock absorption with an extra-wide footbed for outstanding stability and comfort. It suits boots up to EU size 44.

Single-branch suspension

The single branch of hardened spring steel acts like a suspension system, creating Freejump's signature "air cushion" effect. It cuts the force on each stirrup to around a third of a conventional design, easing the load on the rider's joints and the horse's back.

A wider, more supportive footbed

New on the Classic+, the extra-wide ergonomic footbed and rounded, studded rear edge spread the load across the foot and reduce pressure points under the arch.

Super grip

A fibreglass-reinforced super grip floor gives secure, long-lasting traction, backed up by removable steel studs that can be replaced as they wear.

Safer foot release

The outer branch is moulded from flexible Elastollan®, which opens under the pressure of the foot in a fall to help it come free.

Straight eye, natural position

The eye sits parallel to the floor, turning the toe gently inwards for a stable, straight leg. The forward-set centre of gravity tilts the footbed slightly back to encourage a deep heel. The wider eye pairs well with Freejump's Classic Wide and 4x6 leathers, though the Classic+ works with any leathers.

Shock absorption

Hardened spring steel overmoulded in Elastollan® divides the effort on each stirrup by three.

Easier foot release

The flexible outer branch opens under foot pressure in a fall.

Super grip

Fibreglass-reinforced super grip with removable steel studs.

Straight eye

Eye parallel to the floor for an inward toe and a straight leg. Best with Classic Wide or 4x6 leathers.

Offset centre of gravity

The forward main branch offsets the centre of gravity for a natural heel drop.
