Velari 3 Rings Bit with Tongue Port Soft
The Velari 3-ring bit with tongue port soft 20 mm is developed for horses that benefit from a softer, more yielding mouthpiece. It encourages chewing and relaxation while supporting a steady connection. The soft material and flexible core offer a gentle feel, helping reduce tension in sensitive horses.
The outer layer is made from a soft synthetic compound, free from toxins and designed for safe, daily use. Its smooth finish protects delicate oral tissue while the inner flex core gives just enough movement to adapt with the horse’s mouth. Horses that dislike rigid or metal bits often respond with greater relaxation and salivation to this material..
This bit features a tongue port that offers stability, clear contact and pressure relief on the tongue. The mouthpiece maintains its shape under pressure, making it ideal for horses that tend to lean or become heavy in softer bits. The mouthpiece evenly distributes pressure across the bars. The port provides extra tongue room, shifting pressure away from the center of the tongue and onto the bars. This makes the bit ideal for horses that are sensitive to tongue pressure or tend to stick their tongue out.
The 3-ring model brings together a lever action and a lifting effect. The intensity of the aid is determined by where the reins are attached — when buckled to the bottom ring, taking up the rein activates a short lever.
