Velari Eggbutt Flex Double Jointed Medium
Key Features
- double-jointed mouthpiece for even pressure
- non-toxic, horse-safe synthetic materials
- eggbut rings offer stability, quiet movement, and consistent rein aids
Description
The double-jointed design provides refined, even communication, while the smooth flex material offers a smooth feel.
Constructed from a firm, non-toxic synthetic material, the surface remains smooth and safe while offering maximum clarity of aid. The material is free of harmful substances and suitable for long-term use. It avoids the coldness and unforgiving feel of traditional metal bits, making it a considered choice for riders needing more defined communication.
The double-jointed mouthpiece distributes pressure evenly across the tongue and bars, preventing the nutcracker effect and offering a smooth, stable feel. Horses that benefit from balanced pressure and a bit that follows the shape of the mouth often respond particularly well to this design. It is also a great option for horses with a lower palate, as the double-jointed construction reduces upward movement toward the roof of the mouth, providing extra comfort.
With eggbut rings, the mouthpiece remains more stable in the horse’s mouth, preventing excessive lateral movement and reducing the risk of pinching at the corners of the mouth. This steadiness supports horses who appreciate a quieter bit, helping them stay confident in the contact. The fixed rings provide consistent, reliable rein aids and contribute to a soft but secure connection throughout the ride.
Ideal For
- sensitive horses that appreciate a soft, stable mouthpiece
- horses with a lower palate who tend to be sensitive to the nutcracker effect of single-jointed bits.
- riders who seek a stable, quiet connection without tension
