Velari Snaffle Flex Double Jointed Loose Ring Medium
Key Features
- double-jointed mouthpiece for even pressure
- non-toxic, horse-safe synthetic materials
- loose rings allow increased mobility and clear, precise rein aids
Description
The double-jointed design provides refined, even communication, while the smooth flex material helps prevent pressure points.
Constructed from a firm, non-toxic synthetic material, the surface remains smooth and safe while offering maximum clarity of aid. The material is free of harmful substances and suitable for long-term use. It avoids the coldness and unforgiving feel of traditional metal bits, making it a considered choice for riders needing more defined communication.
The double-jointed mouthpiece distributes pressure evenly across the tongue and bars, preventing the nutcracker effect and offering a smooth, stable feel. Horses that benefit from balanced pressure and a bit that follows the shape of the mouth often respond particularly well to this design. It is also a great option for horses with a lower palate, as the double-jointed construction reduces upward movement toward the roof of the mouth, providing extra comfort.
With loose rings, the mouthpiece is allowed to move freely, promoting light chewing activity and helping the horse stay flexible and attentive in the hand. This increased mobility supports precise rein aids and keeps the connection soft and responsive throughout the ride.
Ideal For
- sensitive horses that appreciate a soft, mobile mouthpiece
- horses with a lower palate who tend to be sensitive to the nutcracker effect of single-jointed bits.
- riders who seek precision and elasticity without tension
